RMIA / Colorado State Science Fair Winners 2008

RMIA representative's Jim Poole and Harold Wilcox attended the annual Colorado State Science Fair. The Colorado State Science Fair, Inc. honors excellence in science, engineering and technology; providing opportunities for students from all regions of the state to create and present their research in environments that nurture interests in science and technology; promoting professional skills, high ethical standards, diversity and continuing intellectual development. The RMIA attends every year to judge and select two students to receive our award of excellence and a cash prize.

Jim and Harold reviewed many entrees and chose the following students to receive the RMIA awards:

Tim Schneider of Durango, CO won first prize and a $100 award for his "Will Your Vote Count?" entree.
Zane Willburn of Mancos, CO won second prize and $50 award for his "Water Purification Off The Grid" entree.

The RMIA, formed in 1978 as the Rocky Mountain Inventors Congress, is a non-profit corporation dedicated to helping people with new ideas achieve their greatest potential.

Members include novice and successful inventors and entrepreneurs as well as prototypers, manufacturers, packagers, marketers, patent attorneys, and others interested in the business of inventing and bringing products to market. Our programs include networking sessions, monthly educational meetings, discussion roundtables, and an annual conference.

We hope you find this site useful. We are always looking for ways to improve this site and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Our mission statement:

"The mission of The Rocky Mountain Inventors Association (RMIA) is to promote successful product commercialization and protection by offering information, education, and guidance including business contacts and networking opportunities."

Meetings: Non-members may attend meetings with no scheduled speaker for $10 and those with a speaker for $25. Members are free.

Student membership -$ 62.50 per year (one individual)
